A Blue Moon Blogroll

For those of you who may not know, a blue moon generally refers to the intersection of a second full moon within a single calendar month. Using the Old Farmers’ Almanac, a blue moon is the third full moon in a season of four full moons. With this definition, the next official blue moons will occur on August 21, 2013 and May 21, 2016. There’s more to it than this however; and should you like to learn more, visit Once in a Blue Moon.

My Blogroll Round-ups are as rare as a blue moon, so it seems logical to post one on the fifth Saturday of the month. Though many months offer five weeks, only a handful have five Saturdays which makes the association sufficiently uncommon enough to qualify, at least for me.

I enjoy the roundups scattered with regular abandon out there in the blogosphere but I’m not a regular contributor. I get sidetracked too easily and wind up making posts about rubbish and nonsense.

Well NOT today.

This post is about some of the amazing people I’ve met as a result of blogging and interacting in social media. There is no way to give credence to all of them, so I’m starting with a handful and we’ll continue that way.

Now, having established on previous occasions that I am both a lurker and not much of a socializer, these people continuously provide amazing support and encouragement with regular visits. I appreciate that.

Thank you.

I’ve spent quite some time lurking around your blogs. Yep. I’ve been crawling between posts and peering around corners and I’ve discovered some pretty cool stuff…and yes, I’m about to share. You should totally want to know these people because they rock.

These are awesome writers. Visit their sites and you’ll find warm laughter, a few naughty words, and a ton of entertainment. Don’t forget to bookmark their blogs, add their feeds to your reader, and return often. I’ll share more in the months to come. You could wind up on the list for the next blue moon.
