Top 100 Movie Lines

My reading friends like to make snide remarks about how the movie we just viewed is never as good as the written work. Well duh. They’re different mediums constrained by diverse parameters and striving for varying goals. Sometimes film can produce scenes more viscerally than you get from the page. That isn’t to say that a wonderful read can’t become a travesty of a film…I don’t know if the reverse occurs.
Can a film be better than the book?
Now there’s something to argue about over coffee or cocktails. This video clip doesn’t include my personal top 100 movie lines list but the clip is fun all the same. You can never go wrong with a little Casablanca (Claude Rains fan alert). Enjoy a couple hours of Hollywood’s effort and see what’s playing this weekend.
Treat yourself to the big screen:
1. Order up some tickets with Fandango
2. Find your closest movie theater options with Yahoo Movies
3. Check out what new releases are coming
4. Don’t forget drive-ins still exist – find one at Drive-Ins
5. Opt for a movie on the couch and make Theater Popcorn
What’s your all-time favorite movie line? Could any other actor have delivered it? Which lines can you quote verbatim?

From what I've been warned, the James Bond books are not nearly as good as the films. I've listened the advice not to read them, so I can't say for sure if it's true or not."I'm not an ambi-turner."

At risk of getting whomped by others – I'm not sure I've seen a "good" James Bond flick. Of course I admit I haven't seen the new guy. Thanks for that flashback. Ouch.

Lesann, you are such a great inspiration – I think I will take my kids to the movies this weekend 🙂

My favorite movie line "My name is Inigio Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

I didn't mean to imply that James Bond films were good. Goodness, no! Just that the films are still miles better than the books. 🙂

Now I feel compelled to read a James Bond book and watch the corresponding movie. Thanks for that.
