One Lovely Blog Award

Angela Orlowsk-Peart has bestowed upon me, the One Lovely Blog Award! Fanfare, trumpets, squees, and parade waves…Thank you!

The awards are fun, but it is even nicer to know people appreciate your blogging efforts. There are millions of great blogs and when someone visits here and leaves with a smile or a laugh…that makes me happy. Angela’s smile is so warm, you can feel the shine coming through the screen.

This award has two rules.

The first is that I need to share five wacky or random facts about myself.  I had to wrack my memory to find something I hadn’t already tossed out here for consumption, but finally did:

#1 – Most weeks I read at least two or three books, all genres, both fiction and not.
#2 – I have an inexplicable attraction to decks of playing cards.
#3 – When something strikes my fancy I become insanely focused.
#4 – When I’m ready to go that means I’m on my way out and wait for no one.
#5 – My spatial pattern recognition is so OCD, anything moved in my house, I note.

The second rule is to pass the One Lovely Blog Award along to five deserving individuals. I selected people whose blogs I enjoy and who didn’t appear to have already been awarded. Not everybody enjoys being in the limelight, so feel free to pass or play, I’ll still visit your blog either way.

The awardees are:

Jennifer Tanner
Traci Bell

Diana Murdock

Jillian Dodd

~ Debbie Johansson

Thanks, Lesann! (I have an OCD issue with pictures on the wall. I can spot one that is slightly off, and can’t think about anything else until I straighten it!)

      You’re so welcome Traci!

I know exactly what you mean about pictures askew…the FBI should be asking US to look at crime scenes!

Wow! Thanks, Lesann! I’m honored to be in such esteemed company! I guess I should update my blog. 🙂 Have a great weekend.

You’re welcome! Your blog is one of my favorite weekly destinations. The Twelve Days of Christmas were hilarious… Can’t wait for the update. = )

Congrats on the award, Lesann! Think you could lend your spatial recognition to me for a few days?? One could move houses around in the neighborhood and I might not notice… (Kidding. Sort of. ;)) I do relate to your hyper-fixation on passionate pursuits. Pairs well with writing, don’t you think??

Looking forward to staying in your blog loop!

      Thanks August!

The spatial recognition thing has positives and negatives. The negative side really manifested once the offspring arrived. The house has never been quite the same! The hyperfixation is something I enjoy but it’s hard on the sleep cycles. So glad you came to visit – come back soon to see the impact of your naughty & nice post as it filters across the web… (cue the maniacal cackling laughter)

Thanks so much for the award Lesann – I’m honoured! Congratulations on getting the award yourself – I like your new look.

I certainly can relate to the OCD. Yes crooked pictures are always an issue (thanks Traci :)), but if I find something is out of its usual spot it nags me until it has been put back in its place. Same goes for anything that is slightly moved and I have to put it back how it’s supposed to look. Yep, I know I’m weird. 😉

    • #8 by Leslie on January 7, 2012 - 8:07 pm

You’re so welcome Debbie, and thanks for the congrats. I’m happy with the new site, the transition has been a bit sticky but I’m getting the hang of things.

I totally get the “something’s out of place”. Stupid movie heroines that walk into their house and somehow fail to notice obvious things always make me twitch and squirm. That would so not work in my house. I’d come through the door, notice the magazine has been shifted half an inch and know there was an intruder. It’s ridiculous…I can’t help it!

  5. #9 by Debra Kristi on January 8, 2012 - 1:02 am

Congratulations Lesann! You totally deserve it. I love the things you shared about yourself. 🙂 I have a few insanely focused people in my family. Hmmm LOL

    • #10 by Leslie on January 8, 2012 - 3:48 pm

      Thanks Debra!

I’m relieved to know my family isn’t the only one…tidbits of information are always a bit tough – too much is oversharing, too little is lame. lol

  6. #11 by Angela Wallace on January 9, 2012 - 1:52 pm

Congrats on the award, Lesann! You go girl!

    • #12 by Leslie on January 10, 2012 - 9:49 am

      Thanks Angela!

If you haven’t gotten it yet – I’m sure it’s coming soon!
